Your Mars colony comes with it's own space and buildings. In return for maintaining high levels of Life Support, you will have reduced prices for the goods being produced in the colony. Your colony on Mars relies on your help to be productive and healthy, so it is up to you to make sure Life Support is provided for your colonists.
Once the exploration phase is complete, you can either battle or negotiate for the ore to process it further. Depending on the ore, this may take some time to complete! On the other hand it is advised to not progress on the continent map as you will need to conquer it for event quests. On the one hand, it is advised to get ahead in story missions/continent map to earn units ahead of your age.
Click on the ore to send an exploration team to it. Fellow FoE players, When reading FoE guides I have found conflicting advice about story missions and the continent map. Once you have made your claim on the Mars Campaign, you will find special Mars Ore deposits on some of the sectors you have conquered. Open the Campaign Map and select Mars to be able to see where you can expand to and which places hold the coveted ore. Producing Mars goods requires you to gain and process this special ore, but other factions are competing with you to obtain it.
